Mumia Turns 70 - Birthday of Resistance

  • South Side of City Hall 1400 John F Kennedy Boulevard Philadelphia, PA, 19107 United States (map)

Mumia Abu Jamal turns 70 years old on Wednesday, April 24th. This is a Birthday of Resistance! After 42 years of prison, he must be released NOW!

There will be a rally at City Hall at 2pm - at the Octavius Catto statue - in the afternoon, and an important program in the evening at 6pm, at Waters Memorial AME Church, at 11th and South St. (609 Clifton St.).

Speakers: Marc Lamont Hill, Chairman Fred Hampton Jr., Johanna Fernandez, Kalonji Jama Changa, Mama Pam, Mike Africa Jr., Black Panther Women Collective, Samidoun Palestinian Solidarity, Cornel West, Vijay Prashad, Laura Whitehorn, Councilman Charles Barron, and Judge Wendell Griffen.
